An abbreviated form of be + going to:
I'm going to go to Japan next week.
Often abbreviated to:

Note: There are occasions when all future forms are appropriate. Remember, it’s often case by case...
Practice questions: ~Are you going straight home after school? ~Who is taking the bus after class? ~Who’s going to the beach this weekend?

Planned events:
I am going to stay home tomorrow. Sylvia is going to come over at noon.
Intentions or predictions about what we can see or feel now:
It’s already 8:30... We’re going to be late for sure!

Note: Will implies that we are speaking about a fact rather than an opinion...

1) in a minute/a few minutes/a half hour/an hour/a couple of hours/a few days/ a week/a month/a year...

3) a minute/a few minutes/a half hour/an hour/a couple of hours a week/a month/a year from now
4) next week/month/New Years/holiday/spring/fall/time/class/trip/break/game/ party/storm/meeting
5) tomorrow/the day after tomorrow/the week after next/this Friday/this weekend/ after lunch/after dinner |
